Composition:
Each Film Coated Tablet contains 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg Atorvastatin.
Indications:
It is indicated for prevention of Cardiovascular Disease in patients without clinically evident coronary heart disease, but with multiple risk factors, or in patients with clinically evident coronary heart disease, to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke. It is also indicated in hypercholesterolemia to reduce elevated total-C, LDL-C, and TG levels and to increase HDL-C.
Dosage:
The patient should be placed on a standard cholesterol-lowering diet before receiving Atorvastatin and should continue on this diet during treatment. Doses should be individualized by the prescribing doctor according to the recommended goal of therapy.
